Ikea restaurant had a buffet promotion.
The price is S$20 per person for early bird promotion. If you are an Ikea Family member, you will be entitled to a free $10 shopping voucher which you can use to buy their home products.
If you are dining alone, this effectively means your buffet costs only $10 after deducting $10 voucher which you get.
For two persons, it's effectively $15 each ($40 for two persons less $10 voucher).
As the date of the buffet coincided with the school holiday, there were quite a number of teenagers at the buffet.
A group of youngsters were seen taking two big plates piled with lots of smoked salmon and herring.
For many of us who have eaten buffet, we know that smoked items are quite expensive but usually quite salty and one cannot really eat a lot of them.
In the end, the whole two plates of smoked salmon and herring were left untouched.
Did the kids take these because they knew these are expensive items? Were they taught by their parents? Did they learn from watching their parents' behavior?
