NoA man sent money to an overseas friend urgently using online fund transfer service. He sent the fund during Labor Day public holiday on Friday. There were two days of public holidays on Monday and Wednesday in the recipient's country. He was expecting his friend to receive the fund by end of Tuesday as his previous experiences with another provider took only two hours fastest and within the next working day the latest. As it was rather urgent, he wrote to check on the status. All he got was the same reply that fund is on the way. Out of desperation, he wrote to the CEO via LinkedIn. He was surprised to get a reply within minutes. The CEO acknowledged their fault and apologized for it. He also said he will send a $50 credit. The man got a call the next day and was told by a staff they will credit a $10 voucher to him. He updated the CEO about the call. No reply from the CEO. |
