In addition to that, I've also increased my RAM from 2G to 8G and got a new power adaptor. Boosting my RAM didn't occurred to me until the staff suggested it.
After getting a quote from the shop where I bought my laptop four years ago, I went around checking out prices at other shops. This is what most people do, don't they?
A few shops that look reputable were charging slightly higher or about the same as what I was quoted. Most of the other shops I went to charge much lower, with one quoted lower by 38%. But I just cannot trust these shops. In the end, I went back to the shop, which I'm already familiar with.
The staff assured me that the difference in prices quoted by other shops is because they are using China made replacement battery, instead of original ones. She further went on to say most of her clients have to go back to her to change their laptop battery after visiting one of those dubious shops.
She also assured me that the RAM she uses are of better quality.
For the majority of us, after we got our problems fixed, we just continue with our lives. After all, everything is back to normal.
Due to my job, I tend to look back at what has happened and the thoughts that went through my mind.
Just minutes after getting my laptop fixed and leaving the shop, I called the shop again to check on the warranty period for the replacement battery, RAM and power adaptor.
As I walk, I couldn't help but noticed the feeling welling up in me whether I've been overcharged.
Why?
In many buying situations, most buyers start feeling remorse after making a purchase.
Did I get the best deal? Could I have gotten it cheaper somewhere else? What if I find a better one? Maybe the other option is more worth it. Am I getting the quality for the price I paid?
