Suvarnabhumi International Airport
8:10pm
Two men were eating their dinner while waiting for their flight.
A Japanese family with two kids about 3 and 4 year old came by and sat a few seats away from them.
They had a can of beer and a can of Coke and two small packs of nuts with them.
One of the man took out two packs of potato chips and gave it to the kids before going to the toilet.
The mom thanked him and as he was walking towards the toilet, the younger kid shouted "Arigatou" to him.
When he came back, he remembered he has a few donuts in his bag. The both of them had bought extra food just in case the dinner wasn't enough.
They took 4 donuts and gave them to the mom (dad took one of the kid to the toilet).
One of them asked if the kids were hungry as he passed them to the mom.
The mom was overwhelmed and kept thanking them.
The younger kid who was with his mom was so happy and he shouted "Thank You."
Yes, the family looked rich enough to be able to afford to eat at the food outlets at the airport.
Yes, they didn't look as if they were hungry.
The two men are not getting any benefit out of doing this. They probably won't see the family ever again.
They weren't too bothered whether the parents would think if these guys thought they were too poor to buy food for the kids.
Just a simple act of sharing.
