"World's richest man Bill Gates says he would still pick up a $100 bill if he saw it on the street."
Unbelievable?
Why would the world's richest man be interested in $100? He makes a few million dollars every second. Why would he bother to spend the few seconds to pick up a $100 bill?
But a $100 bill is a $100 bill. You can actually use it to buy something of that value.
This reminds me of another article online sometimes ago where someone commented that nobody even bother to pick up a 5 cent coin nowadays where I replied that I would.
I once shared how I was made to go home without buying newspaper from a neighborhood convenience store because I was short of 5 cents. That's probably the reason why I will still pick up a 5 cents coin on the street.
You will realize the importance of the value of a 5 cents when you need one and you do not have it. After all, it has value.
While a $100 bill has $100 value and a 5 cents coin has 5 cents value, the 5 cents has a greater value than its face value in my situation.
The 5 cents represents not just the face value, but also the value of establishing a long term relationship with a customer and the value of trust in a customer.
A you're probably aware, that was the last time I ever patronized the convenience store. I rather walk a longer distance to another shop or do without the item.
