She is losing about $20,000 every month. The problems she faces are the same as other owners. Difficulties in employing staff, high rental costs and poor sales. She also cannot run the business personally as she is in Indonesia most of the times. So she has a supervisor (previously a kitchen helper) helping her with daily operations.
Recently, she revamped her website and started running promotion. Not sure if her business is improving.
I've yet to taste the food, which is supposedly good as she uses fresh chicken and does not recycle her oil.
But the restaurant sure does not look inviting. Plants are dying. Chairs are torn. Banners looked boring. Pictures of food looked unappetizing. The staff didn't even realize I walked in.
The signs - You can find them if you look hard enough.
