Two man came and took a look at the menu.
Walked in with the menu and parked themselves at one corner of the cafe.
The place has a minimalist industrial deco with pipes running through it's ceiling. Colorful paper lanterns were hanging out from these pipes which added color to the otherwise dull interior. The seats were metal stools with no back rest.
A staff came by with the menu and asked if they are ready to order.
"Give us a bit more time," said one of them.
Finally decided on a Mocha and Hot Chocolate.
The staff came back with the drinks on both hands and identified the drinks as he placed them down.
Erm.... where is the spoon?
Did he forget? Probably he will bring them since his hands were full.
The spoons did not come. Is it a new way of drinking coffee? Or they hope you'll finish your drink fast enough that you do not need a spoon to stir?
The music was rather loud and coupled with the noise from the industrial fan, it's probably not meant to be a place for some quiet time.
The staff were walking to and fro serving food and clearing plates.
They noticed a customer walking to a corner behind their table to fill up a glass of iced water.
The guys finished their drinks and proceeded to fill up their glasses with iced water.
They decided to leave and one of them walked to the back where the counter was located to make payment. A guy from another table also did the same.
The staff asked for the table number and keyed it into a mobile phone apps. The apps then send the information to the cash register.
The bill included a 7% GST (government tax) and 10% service charge.
Now where's the service?
